FUTURE PARTNER TRAITS

This list reflects my values and what I need in a supportive, loving, and healthy relationship. While flexibility is key, I will stay true to my core needs and boundaries when choosing a partner.

1. Core Values & Beliefs
  • Honest, trusting, and values respect, trust, and communication.
  • Open to a religious partner as long as it does not affect my lifestyle and freedom.
  • Values family but understands that our relationship comes first.
  • Political and social views should align; they don’t have to be identical but must be compatible and respectful.
2. Personality & Emotional Traits
  • No strong preference between introverted or extroverted.
  • Must have a great sense of humor and be playful and respectful in-jokes.
  • Should be confident in the relationship and open to discussing anything.
  • Handles conflict by allowing time for reflection before continuing a discussion.
  • Emotional maturity and self-awareness are highly valued.
3. Lifestyle & Ambitions

  • Prefers a chill, simple, and relaxing lifestyle with occasional luxury.
  • Traveling is a priority and should be valued by my partner.
  • Doesn’t have to be highly ambitious but should have passions and goals.
  • Financial stability is important; a great mindset about working toward it is crucial.
  • I like the idea of working together toward financial goals.
  • Fitness is not required, but a partner into fitness could be a positive influence.
  • Must respect my hobbies, especially K-pop, as I will respect theirs.
4. Relationship & Love Language

  • Expressing love in any form is important as long as it is demonstrated.
  • Should be affectionate and expressive.
  • Must be supportive of my goals and encourage personal growth.
  • A healthy dynamic where both partners love and support each other, celebrate success and provide comfort in difficult times.
5. Physical & Attraction Factors

  • No strict physical requirements, but I have a liking for butts and dimples.
  • Emotional connection is more important than physical attraction.
  • Should have healthy habits—no smoking, and minimal drinking.
6. Dealbreakers & Red Flags
  • Disrespect toward me or others is a major dealbreaker.
  • Cannot have a history of cheating.
  • Should not carry unresolved insecurity from past infidelity, as it can lead to trust issues, jealousy, possessiveness, and toxicity.

Strengths:

✔ A clear idea of what you want and need in a relationship.
✔ A perfect balance between emotional and practical expectations.
✔ Focusing on mutual respect and emotional maturity is key to a strong, long-lasting relationship.
✔ Recognize  the importance of both individuality and partnership.

Things to Consider:

Flexibility in Growth – While you value stability, being open to change and unexpected experiences can make the relationship even more fulfilling.

Conflict Resolution Style – Giving space during conflict is great, but ensuring follow-up communication happens is crucial.

Finding the Right Balance in Support – Supporting each other’s goals is great, but make sure it’s not about “fixing” each other.
Encouragement should be mutual but not pressure.

Physical Attraction – You prioritize emotional connection, which is great, but it's okay to acknowledge that some level of physical attraction does contribute to a romantic connection.

Balance Expectations with Openness – It’s great to have clear standards, but also stay open to the unexpected. Real relationships involve growth, adaptation, and compromise (without sacrificing your core values).

Experience Will Refine Your Preferences – Since you haven’t been in a relationship yet, some of these traits may evolve as you gain experience.
You might discover new dealbreakers or realize certain qualities matter more (or less) than you initially thought.

Communication & Conflict Handling – Great perspective on handling conflicts with time to reflect before addressing issues. In reality, emotions can make this challenging, but practicing calm, honest conversations will help.

Emotional Maturity is a Process – Emotional maturity is important, and while it’s ideal, not everyone in their early twenties has it fully developed.
A great partner will be willing to grow with you.

Chemistry Can Surprise You – While emotional connection is a priority (which is great), sometimes attraction can develop in unexpected ways.
Give yourself space to feel things naturally rather than just checking off a list.

First Relationships Are for Learning – Your first serious relationship will teach you a lot about yourself, love, and boundaries. Be patient with yourself, and don’t feel pressured to get everything "right" from the start.

Enjoy the Journey – Finding the right partner takes time, and dating is as much about learning what you don’t want as it is about finding the right person. Have fun, explore connections, and let things unfold naturally.

Yapping 'round. Welcome!

Hi! It's  Ads, thanks for reading this. I really don't know how my future self will manage this type of blog, I just imagine this space as a safe spot for me to write about myself, my hobbies, and my life experiences and to vent. I kinda need to write whatever is going through my head and about my feelings because right now I'm not in the best place, mentally and physically. I know my mistakes and I know I'm not living a healthy life, but I want to change that. I want to work on myself and become a better version of myself.

I don't know how you found this little corner on the internet, but if you are reading this I guess you could be in a similar situation or maybe you didn't dislike my idea about this space and want to know more...

Either way, I'm gonna give you some piece of information about myself so you can figure out if this is your cupa tea or not. As I said I'm Ads, it's not my real name just a friendly nickname, I'm a 21-year-old trying to figure out her life,  fun right?

I view myself as a little weirdo, but who isn't a little weird? I'm just not your stereotypical 21-year-old girl, the girls my age, at least from where I'm from, usually are boy-crazy, like to party, are carefree... I'm nothing like that, I couldn't care less about boys, hookups, one-night stands, etc. A party is not my ideal environment, you wouldn't normally find me there, I usually go out about 4-6 times a year. And I'm not as carefree as I would like to be, I'm an overthinker, always planning things in advance, you could say I'm a little control freak. I like to know what's happening, where, when, and all about any kind of situation, so I can be mentally prepared and I have plans A, B, C, all the way to Z planned in my mind just in case.

Just in case is one of my favorite phrases, I say it all the time. I'm the mama of the group in my group of friends, and believe me you could find anything you could need in my purse, and most of the time I don't even bring it for myself, it's there just in case someone needs it. But this is not one of the things I'm trying to change, in fact, I kinda like this about myself, I like to help others.

Well, as I said before, I don't like going out to parties or stuff like that, on a Friday evening, you could find me, at home, in my room, to be more precise in my bed, with a book in my hands, or my kindle, or my laptop, a nice little snack and a beverage. My favorite way to spend my free time is by myself. Reading, writing, watching a show or a movie, scrolling through YouTube, catching up with some podcast episodes, or my favorite, which is K-pop.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of the other things I do in my free time, but K-pop has a special place in my heart. It has changed my life completely, there was a before and after.  It just brings me a more fulfilling kind of happiness.

I hope this gives you a little glimpse into the little corner of my brain and gives me a little peace of mind...
